Precisely measure the draw length for shooting a bow with our draw length calculator relative to the arm span.
Draw length is the distance from the nock point of the string to the grip of the bow, plus 1.75 inches.
It is the distance pulled, measured from the apex of the string to the throat of the grip.
For an accurate estimation relative to your wingspan, you can use the draw length calculator.
Proper shooting form and accuracy depend on having a bow that fits. One of the most important measurements to ensure the right fit is the draw length.
DL = Draw length in inches
WS = Wingspan in inches
To determine the final draw length of the bow:
Suppose an archer has a wingspan of 40 inches.
DL = 40 / 2.5 = 16 inches
DL in centimeters = 40.64 cm
Final bow draw length:
16 + 1.75 = 17.75 inches
17.75 inches = 45.09 cm
| Wingspan (inches) | Draw Length (inches) | Bow Length (inches) |
|---|---|---|
| 60 | 24 | 25.5 |
| 65 | 26 | 27.5 |
| 70 | 28 | 29.5 |
| 75 | 30 | 31.5 |
| 80 | 32 | 33.5 |
